Board Succession

As part of our planned leadership succession process, and in accordance with our rules, Sean Connor has stepped down from his role as Chair of the Board ahead of our 2026 AGM.
Sean became Chairperson in 2025, having previously served as a Non-Executive Director on the Board. During his time as Chair, Sean has provided strong leadership through a period of significant development for Glasgow Credit Union, helping to oversee important changes that have supported continued membership growth, strengthened governance and contributed to the Glasgow Credit Union’s financial sustainability and long-term success.
While stepping down as Chair, Sean will continue to serve Glasgow Credit Union as a Board Director until the conclusion of his current term in December 2026.
We would like to sincerely thank Sean for his leadership, commitment and contribution to our Credit Union, and we are pleased that we will continue to benefit from his experience and knowledge during the remainder of his term.
Welcoming our new Chairperson
As part of our succession planning process, we are delighted to announce that Maggie Craig, current Board Vice Chair has been appointed as the first ever female Chair of the Board of Glasgow Credit Union.
Maggie brings extensive Non-Executive Director and financial services experience and was a former Head of Department of the FCA. We warmly welcome Maggie to her new role and wish her every success as Chairperson.
The Board remains committed to strong governance, effective leadership and ensuring Glasgow Credit Union continues to grow and deliver sustainable value for our members.
