Join one of the largest and most successful credit unions in the UK.

Glasgow Credit Union is a financial mutual that has been there for our members since 1989.

We offer a variety of loans, savings, and mortgages exclusively for members, who live or work in the West of Scotland (all G, FK, KA, ML, and PA postcodes) or work for one of our Employer Partners.

Working together

Although we offer savings, loans and mortgages just like a bank or building society, Glasgow Credit Union exists for a different purpose. 

We're a financial mutual, which means we're owned by our members. Every member has an equal say on matters that affect the credit union through our Annual General Meeting and our Board of Directors are elected from the membership. 

Like any business, we aim to make a profit, but we always invest our profits back into the credit union to improve our services and use surplus profits to share amongst our members. By coming together as credit union members, we help all of us save regularly and borrow responsibly to achieve our financial goals.

We run regular financial education workshops to encourage better money management.

Everything we do is directed at helping individuals to make healthy financial decisions throughout their lives.

    Every month, we donate to local charities and causes that are making a difference in our communities. Over the past four years alone, we have donated over £175,000 to nominated local charities and good causes across Glasgow and the West of Scotland.

    We work with over 100 UK based employers, giving their employees access to our full range of products. By becoming an Employer Partner, you can help your employees to improve their finances with ease, as they can save directly from their wages every payday.
